Any cancellation must be in writing and will only be effective once we send written confirmation of the cancellation to you. Please see clause 2 for your entitlement to refunds.
When we confirm your cancellation in writing we will provide you with details of what (if anything) is owing to you and any deductions we have made.
We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance at the time of making the Booking with cancellation cover. Whilst we allow you to cancel your holiday, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to refund any part of the payments you have already made.
If you are unable to travel to the property for any reason, or do not arrive on the day of Check-in without notifying us, this will be treated as a cancellation under this clause.
2. REFUNDS
We operate under the following Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made more than 60 days before check-in: Full refund minus a 3% processing fee.
Cancellations made between 60 and 30 days before check-in: 50% refund minus a 3% processing fee.
Cancellations made within 30 days of check-in: No refund.
You are strongly advised to arrange personal travel insurance to cover any unexpected cancellations.
3. THE OWNER/MANGER’S RIGHT TO CANCEL
Locala may have to cancel a booking prior to the Check-in time due to an event outside their control (such as fire, flood, failure of utilities) or if the property will be unavailable as a result of a sale and we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know if this happens.
We will try and arrange alternative accommodation in a property in our portfolio of similar facilities and price and, if this is not possible, you will be entitled to a full refund.
